Matt Dikeman, D.V.M.,
Diplomate A.B.V.P.

 

Dr. Matt Dikeman is a graduate of Texas A&M. He began his career with Brittmoore Animal Hospital in 1970.  He is a Diplomate through the American Board of Veterinary Practicioners (ABVP) and a member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Over the years, Dr. Dikeman has become known within the community as the "friendly country doctor in the big city". He has also become known as the "bulldog doctor" as he has treated and/or preformed corrective surgery on numerous congenital bulldog conditions. Dr. Dikeman is certified through the University of Pennsylvania Hip Improvement Program (PennHIP).  

Matt and his wife Sarah have two children, Neal and Rebecca. Neal and his wife live in sunny California. Rebecca and her husband live in Tennessee and have expanded the Dikeman family tree with an audorable grandaughter, Kaitlyn. Matt enjoys his weekly trip to the ranch with his dog, Speagle, to tend to the cattle and chit-chat with the country folk.

Kit Kampschmidt,  D.V.M.

 

Dr. Kit Kampschmidt is a 1983 graduate of Oklahoma State University. He joined Brittmoore Animal Hospital in 1984. He has a special interest in canine reproduction and cryopreservation. He is a nationally recognized authority in these areas and serves as a consultant to other veterinarians through the Veterinary Information Network (VIN). He has been an invited speaker for national veterinary meetings, state and local veterinary associations, and many breed clubs. He currently serves on the Synbiotics National Canine Reproduction Advisory Council and has trained veterinarians from all over the United States and the world (Korea, New Zealand, Slovakia, Greece, and Canada) in canine semen freezing and artificial insemination techniques. He is a member of the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association and the Society for Theriogenology.

Kit and his wife Ann have two children, Jordan and Erin. Jordan attends Trinity University in San Antonio and is very active in choir. Erin attends Columbia University in New York City and is on the womens swimming team. Ann is an active tennis player and runner. Kit enjoys tennis, reading, traveling and is enrolled in Rice University's Master of Liberal Studies Program.

 

 Mary Tatum, D.V.M.

Dr. Mary Tatum is a 1980 graduate of Texas A & M University, College of Veterinary Medicine and joined Brittmoore in 2002 with interests in reproduction and preventive medicine. Dr. Tatum is certified through the University of Pennsylvania Hip Improvement Program (PennHIP) and known for her radiograph techniques for submission for OFA certifications. Her interest in performance and sport dogs (agility, field trial, obedience) has earned her a license as a Field Trial judge. She has bred Golden Retrievers for the past 30 years and Labradors for the past 15 years. Dr. Tatum is very active in the community as a charter member of the Greater Houston Golden Retriever Club and member of several working retriever clubs. She is currently the President of the Lone Star Retriever Club.

Mary and her husband Jack have a son, Russell. The family also includes several Goldens, Labradors and numerous furry visitors throughout the year. And yes, there is even room for their feline family members, Bubs and Katzi! 



James Rieman,D.V.M.


Dr. Jim Rieman received a Bachelors in Biology degree from Loyola College in Baltimore and a Masters degree in Biology from Virginia Tech. He graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. He has been involved in breeding and showing dogs for over 30 years, including several top-ranked dogs. Dr. Rieman's other hobbies and interests include offshore fishing, birding, gardening and paleontology.

 

Amanda Taylor, D.V.M.

Dr. Amanda Taylor is a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine. She was raised in Garland, Texas, but has made Houston her home, which is how she joined Brittmoore Animal Hospital. She has a special interest in both canine and feline preventative medicine. Dr. Taylor also enjoys the opportunities to answer questions and meet with clients.

Amanda and her husband Brandon live with five fish and their two dogs, Sophie and Elee. Amanda is very active with her outside interests which include volleyball, swimming, and scuba diving.


Sarah Burbridge, D.V.M.
 

Dr. Burbridge is a native Houstonian and graduate from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, in California.  Her passion to help families provide life long care for their family pet(s) enables her to spend quality time in the exam room sharing important information about healthcare. She has a special place in her heart for shelter pets, as her current canine companion was adopted from the SPCA in L.A., California during her internship.

Her canine live-in companion, "Carter-Jackson", enjoys outdoor activities including daily runs and hiking trips together. Dr. Burbridge also enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family here in Houston and friends.
